Cancer sucks.

Another Mom, Nattie, met her Savior early. I hardly knew her, but in light of Tech Mom's recent post, and a conversation I had with a very dear friend this afternoon, I find myself in tears. For all of them. All who have recently lost a loved one due to any form of the disease.

And I look at my wrist. I have this scar across it, it reminds me that cancer can touch anywhere, at any time. And it can be healed. It was once, by a simple procedure. Why I was lucky, I don't know. October will mark 5 years from when the melanoma was removed from my wrist.
I think of the ones I love, and sometimes I'm scared it will return. Oh, I know all the pat answers. I know God is in control, I know the praise songs and verses. Just bear with me a moment while I vent and cry a little. Whenever I hear about more kids losing their moms, I can't help but pray... fear creeps back in, and I can't help it... Please God, I want to see you, but not yet. Keep it away. Please.

Pray for Nattie Rose's girls, as well as all the families who have lost loved ones to terrible disease.
We never forget. While our loved ones are physically healed for eternity, the emotional healing for those of us left on earth takes time.
