more new babies...
our neighbor (well, about 20 houses down, we live in suburbia) delivered her twin boys at 32 weeks. they weighed in at almost 5 lbs. one of them is coming home tomorrow, the other will stay in the hostpital for another week. i don't know all the details, but i did hear through the grapevine that one was delivered naturally (practically fell out?), but they had to do an emergency c-section for the other because he was breached and his heartbeat disappeared from the monitor. pray for beth and jason, their 2 1/2 year old, kate, and of course, the new baby boys, thomas and jacob.
isn't 32 weeks practically considered full term for twins?

Can you imagine having to recover from a vaginal birth and c-section at the same time, and have two, not one, new babies to care for? Drama King was born at 32 1/2 weeks. He weighed 4 lbs. 8 oz, so Thomas and Jacob are pretty good size. He was in the hosp. for 11 days, just had to learn to eat. 32 weeks is pretty good, not ideal, but pretty good.

(can i blame it on the head that still feels like cotton balls are stuffed inside? please?)
grace... i'm impressed that DK learned to eat. baby bear was full term and never learned to nurse well... sucking, latching, you name it she wouldn't do it. after 12 weeks of frustration and supplementing/pumping after every feeding attempt, i gave up. i look at pics from when she wasn't gaining and wonder why it took me so long to stop trying. thankfully she's healthy and strong now- and she definitely knows how to eat
