autumn stroll -part 2
it was warm again today, so baby bear and i walked over to the next street and visited pixie and peanut, who were playing outside with their mommy. pixie is 2 1/2, and peanut is 9 months old. it was nice to see them! the temp is supposed to drop to the 40's tomorrow, serving as a reminder that it really is almost Christmas.
as for the multitude of chores i needed to do? ha. i swept the kitchen. didn't wash it (yet), just swept it. i also took a nap of my own during baby bear's afternoon siesta.
baby bear just finished a banana and a cup of watered-down apple juice. she'll be in heaven when she starts drinking undiluted juices in about 5 years. i'm typing at the kitchen table, and she keeps smiling at me with that adorable single-toothed grin as she munches on some crackers.

Bee still drinks watered down juice too, and she'll be 4 in February. My mom thinks it's only to save money and lets her drink it full strength at her house, but the truth is that I don't want her having that much sugar. Oh, well, if you can't get spoiled at Grannie's where can you be spoiled at right?
Exactly... although the saving money thing is a good point. Some days I think it might be cost effective to buy a juicer and make my own.
I love it. . . pixie and peanut! Glad you didn't call them brat 1 and brat 2 =) LOL!!! Good to see you too!

My mom actually has a juicer, the really good kind that leaves very little after the fruit is put in. The amount of juice you get is not worth the cost of the fruit. Now, the taste is amazing. There is nothing like fresh pineapple juice, but an entire pineapple only gets you about 2 cups of juice, when you consider the fact that a pineapple usually costs anywhere from $3-$5 it doesn't seem worth to me.
mad never had diluted juice. em suffered through 1/2 and 1/2 for a couple years. then i decided it wasn't worth the time or effort.
gina- your kids are adorable, not brats. now some other neighbors' kids, well, we'll leave it at that. if only i could get baby bear to learn that faces are not toys.
crt- with just 1 kid, it's not all that much effort. now, we'll see how long it lasts when #2 comes along. with mad's metabolism it's a good thing she had juice straight. she needs the extra calories. mad and pixie need to meet eachother next time you guys are here.
