why is it that i can't even put a pre-made crust over the top of a pot pie without messing it up? (ok, the answer is i didn't let it come to room temp before trying to unroll it... who ever heard of reading instructions on those things, anyway?)
i kept the hideously ugly one for us and brought the not-quite-so -ugly one to our friend who has a newborn.
now to clean up the kitchen...

Yah, it's amazing how much easier life can be if we read the instructions first... huh, sounds like a sermon illustration for using the Bible as our instruction manual for life.
i like to think i don't hold the copyright on that story!
good thing about pie crust: doesn't matter how ugly it is, it still tastes good!
