81 degrees. inside. with a/c doing something, but not cooling well.

let's all start singing old the patch-the-pirate songs... "i can't wait til tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow..." that is assuming the a/c dude can fix our problems in one trip.

9:49 p.m.- until a few minutes ago, we were hanging out on the front porch, enjoying the breeze and fresh air. it's now down to 79 inside after opening the windows and turning off the a/c to give it a break for a couple of hours. baby bear is asleep, half-naked, in her crib. don't worry, i'm sure she's wrapped a blanket around herself and is plenty warm. oh, and she had such a bad diaper that she tapped on the front door, said poo-poo, and let us change her without too much of a fight. it was 8:45, past her normal bedtime, but she was having a lot of fun sitting and figuring out how to stand on her trike on the grass outside. no need to ride it, there are plenty of other uses! i have the feeling she'll be catching up to her cousins' crazy antics sooner than i'm ready. this after begging to wear her training pants earlier today (they are pink and pretty), then begging to have them taken off, then going into the bathroom, standing next to the potty but not sitting in it, closing the door in my face, and peeing all over the floor and herself. and then falling flat on her butt and back when she couldn't walk on the slippery floor. i washed the floor while she took a bath. at least she peed on the bathroom floor.

we let her go to bed with a sippy cup of water so she doesn't dehydrate from sweating so much. no rain yet. darn. i thought for sure that if i watered my flowers, it would rain, anyway. good thing i opted to water them!
