hubby has a point
summers in wisconsin are much nicer than summers where we live. it's only may, not even summer yet, our grass is already turning brown, and today it is HUMID. maybe that's just because it was 70 and not so humid at gramma's. the weather is teasing us. it feels like it wants to rain, but it won't. i'm just prayin' that if it does rain this week, it will not be on saturday, when we crash the church picnic for steph's & my parents' church at my parents' house. it wouldn't be the first time a church picnic has been postponed due to rain, but still...
so, i continue to water my flowers and veggie pots so they don't wither away into the clay. my green bean plants are flowering... does that mean the beans will come soon? anyone know? i'm assuming so, since that is generally the order of growth for tomato plants, which have also begun to flower a bit.
if only the rest of the family would move back north, should hubby's crazy ideas come to fruition. the 12-hour drive would make it nearly impossible for baby bear to truly get to know her cousins and grandparents.

Summers are nice up there! It gets hot but for like 3 weeks, not 3 months.
Green beans do flower before putting out the beans.
When we left AL everyone told us to enjoy the nice, cool summers of the north. Hah. It gets just as hot up here as down there. It's just hot from June to September instead of April to October. The humidity is bad up here, maybe not quite as bad, but it's bad.
WI is different than IN... oh, it gets hot, but it also has breaks from the heat. But then there ARE some cold spells in the winter. REALLY cold.
